People often ask me why I love to travel. Well, I love to travel because traveling provides me with the opportunity to see things that I’ve read about in books or have seen on television. Traveling also allows me to learn about different cultures. Traveling provides me with the opportunity to get away from it all and experience something different than my normal surroundings.

Finally, traveling allows me to learn new languages, for some countries, to prepare for my upcoming trips. I find that learning the language helps out a lot when trying to interact with locals from ordering food to asking for directions. Locals also seem to appreciate it more when you attempt to meet them halfway as they may not be fluent or only know a little bit of English.
